Behind the Image: Morning Glory at Schwabacher Landing

That’s the tricky thing about weather. I always hope for partly-cloudy or even mostly-cloudy skies when I shoot the sunrise, but for the last five times in a row my sky has either been completely overcast, blocking any rays that might illuminate the Teton’s highest peaks; or completely clear, rendering any magic that might have occurred to be bland. The past five shoots have taught me that it takes more than a few majestic peaks in perfect reflection to make a good image.
